We stopped off here on the way from the airport to our accommodation.

It's tucked away on the river and has a lovely riverside veranda in the cool shade with a gentle breeze.

Dangerously easy to sit in the shade all afternoon and sip delicious wine.

Someone described the style as "surf-shop chic" which is quite suiting, and the setting by the riverside adds to the feeling. No extraordinary finesse in the food or the service, but a lovely place we enjoy returning to for the relaxed atmosphere. Check opening hours, and pick a sunny day.

This restaurant was recommended by the owners of a house we rented in the area four years ago. It was great then so we made a rerun trip when we were back in the Dordogne area.
The service is very friendly and our waitress was very helpful. The menu is relatively short, as is the wine list, but that does not detract from the quality that is delivered.

The dinner was booked prior to arriving in France and the restaurant were aware there were a couple of guests who were coeliacs.

The salad starter, just contained lettuce and the staff were just not interested in catering for our dietery needs. The cheese board was good but a few gluten free crackers would have been good. At a cost of 45 euros per head I think this would have been the least they could have done. Local wine was included in the cost of the meal, but any other drinks had to be paid for

Extremely disappointing!

We had a pre-wedding dinner as part of a large group. The setting and ambiance are beautiful and rustic. The place feels warm and friendly. The wine was delicious and food quite tasty, although a few of us felt the portions could have been a little bigger. Would recommend this place.
