“Local Tuscan experience!”

Casa Columba was recommended by a friend, and it was everything we wanted in a Tuscan experience. Marie was lovely and made sure we felt at home. We were treated with a bottle of wine and some snacks in the apartment. The apartment was very spacious and the washing machine was handy on our 2 week journey through Italy.
Marie took us on a bike tour through the Tuscan countryside where we stopped at a potter and local store for a cheese and wine tasting. She and her husband also drove us to several awesome wineries throughout the Pisan wine route for tastings and tours.
Everything in Vicopisano is within walking distance to the apartment including an olive oil factory and several cafes/restaurants. We wouldn't hesitate to book again as it is so much more than just a place to stay!

Dear Jessica, thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to review Casa Colomba. It was wonderful to hear that you had a great time at Casa Colomba and that you enjoyed discovering Vicopisano and the surrounding area. I think we must agree that staying in this location is a very Tuscan experience and it was great that you got to meet the local artisans and discover the nearby wine region. I'm not sure whether you have had a chance to see our Authentic Tuscany website or Facebook page but I have some great photos of you both!
Thank you again for coming to stay with us and a big thank you too to those lovely friends who recommend us. Maybe you can all come back together one day in the future. Take care and warmest regards
Marie and Lorenzo

“Good choice of authentic medieval place to stay to enjoy village.”
Reviewed February 12, 2017 for a stay in February 2017

We arrived early and our hosts Marie and Lorenzo gave us a warm welcome to our lovely medieval home for the week with delicious local food and drink. They gave us advice on where to eat and how to travel around which really helped. The apartment was fantastic very authentic warm attractive with great views, take time to relax. Local food shops stock all the food you could enjoy and the restaurants are very enjoyable which we recommend. All the locals are friendly, so take time to walk around the village with its charm and winding streets. We visited Pisa and Lucca which are easy bus rides from the village, but take time to enjoy the village.

Amazing amazing casa Colomba is one of the most beautiful places I've stayed in Tuscany. The villa is decorated in true Tuscan style and is immensely clean and well situated in a quaint Tuscan village . Lorenzo and Marie are fantastic hosts and nothing was too much for them. They are extremely well organised and They even arranged cooking evenings and visits to the countryside. Their local knowledge will ensure that you have a problem free holiday. Five stars all the way. Not to be missed

“Fabulous accomodation in an unspoilt Tuscan village”
Reviewed June 25, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Accommodation is very spacious with lovely homely touches whilst being authentic. The village of vicopisano is unspoilt & not touristy, but with a few excellent shops & restaurants. We loved walking to the bakery for daily bread & pasties , & trying the butchers!. Al, of these were great recommendations from our excellent hosts who had endless information on the area. This is " real" Tuscany .

“Breathtaking”
Reviewed May 18, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Wow !!!! Absolutely breathtaking . From the minute you spot this little town through the olive and pine trees in the Tuscany hills you will not be disappointed . The apartment is absolutely wonderful with unspoiled views of the beautiful countryside.Attention to detail is impeccable and Marie and Lorenzo were the perfect hosts . A selection of local cheeses , meats and a bottle of wine and water were in the apartment when we arrived and Marie and Lorenzo explained some of the local history and recommended places to visit.
The airport is a 20 minute drive and the beach and pisa about 25-30 mins away. both a must to do .
The only negative would be that we had to leave this sleepy little town and come back home. Four of us stayed in this gorgeous apartment and we will definitely be going back .

“A Fabulous Tuscan Experience”
Reviewed February 8, 2016 for a stay in December 2015

We arrived at Casa Colomba on Christmas Eve to a lovely warm welcome from Marie And Lorenzo. They are a really lovely couple that make you feel right at home right from the word go. Casa Colomba is an amazing apartment, very spacious, beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and takes you back in time to a more romantic age, especially the great big bed that you have to stand on a stool to climb into! Viscopisano is a lovely village with everything you need from a kebab shop to a medieval tower, the people are so friendly and welcoming. We didn't hire a car for our stay but the local transport is very good and we didn't miss having a car at all. We used the buses and trains which are very reliable and very economical. We visited Pisa for a day and Florence. A trip by bus to Pontedera is well worth a visit, it's only a small town but had some lovely shops. Unfortunately because it was the Christmas holiday all the local trips that Marie and Lorenzo organise such as looking around Bruneleschi's tower and visiting vineyards etc were not available when we stayed but we would love to return again one day to do all those things. Finally a big thank you to Marie and Lorenzo for all their help while we were there, we had a lovely Christmas dinner in a local restaurant which Marie had booked for us and a wonderful New Years Eve dinner in another local restaurant with Marie Lorenzo and their friends. We would highly recommend a visit to Casa Colomba for people of all ages, couples and families.

Thank you so much for your kind and informative review for Casa Colomba. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and it was such a pleasure to have guests over the Christmas period. We were so pleased to hear that you visited so many places on public transport but we are sorry that we couldn’t organise all of our regular trips due to the seasonal holidays - however we are already working on this for next Christmas with a view to making these experiences available for guests who may stay with us next Christmas. We do hope you come back and visit us again and we can certainly arrange a trip to the nearby vineyards and Brunelleschi's magnificent fortress.
Thank you again for your support in choosing Casa Colomba and we look forward to meeting you again soon.
Warmest wishes Marie and Lorenzo
