My husband and I just returned from 3 nights at the chateau. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer. Say...forever? It was everything I was hoping for and more. We requested the Hector room and it didn't disappoint. Huge, elegant with wood beam ceiling, chandelier, king size canopy bed, fireplace (non working but adds charm), claw foot tub. And my favorite part about it: the view. I could have stared out those giant windows for hours, looking upon the vast grounds with horses grazing near the pond! I also enjoyed sitting by the roaring fire in the elegant common room, a glass of wine and some classical music playing. Olivier was so welcoming, and has wonderful English (though I preferred practicing my French with him). The breakfast is simple but filling: an assortment of warm breads and croissants, jams, yogurt, cereal, fruit and choice of french press coffee or tea. And fresh OJ. It was 5 min from charming Amboise, and short drives to the best castles in the area (Cheverny, Chenonceau etc). I can't wait to come back and will dream of Arpentis often. Stay there if you can.

Room Tip: Hector is amazing!

Great experience and we did love our stay here for the peace and quiet aspect. Service wise the host was friendly and professional. Pool area great but other facilities were disappointing, the main lounge area was actually a bit tatty with scruffy couches and the baize on the billiard table appauling. Great bathroom, spacious room with plenty of character, warm and inviting. The beauty of this property is the non commercial aspect. I'd love to have seen some vases of fresh flowers/flower arrangements within the public areas.

We stayed at the Château des Arpentis with family and couldn't have been happier. The rooms, castle itself and grounds were all beautiful and the staff were helpful and courteous. There is also a lovely common room with big open fire, which is perfect for those evenings when it's too cold to sit out on the terrace.

The breakfast was huge! A very luxurious break and a great location from which to explore the Loire.

What an experience staying in a chateau from the 16th century. This was one of the highlights of our trip to the Loire. We were in the Quentin and Aymeric suite which was enormous . The views of their property were fabulous. Loved the tunnel to the pool ( wasn't sunny enough to swim unfortunately), the billiard room , etc. Our host was extremely gracious. would love to go back again and stay longer.

Very tastefuly refurbished and decorated chateau, in the valley of Loire river, close to the historic city of Amboise. The manager Olivier, is very helpful and kind, without beeing intrusive. Rooms are of high quality, the garden and park wonderful, and the swimming pool clean and enjoyable. Breakfast was rather basic, but that's no big deal. Perfect place to relax and/or use as a base to visit the many monuments of the area. Reasonable prices.

It is a MUST to give yourself a chance to experience it! If you go to Loire Valley and spent some more time there, not only rushing from chateau to chateau (which is tiring with kids) it is the best choice to stay in a real chateau. We spent 5 days here with family in two nice rooms with fireplace, air conditioning, good service, heated swimming pool, nice staff. You even get cold drinks at the swimming pool at your service f. There is a creek and a small lake, wonderful countryside, quietness and calm, birds...

We loved our stay at Chateau des Arpentis. First of all the chateau is stunning. The outside is beautiful, it looks as if it came out a fairy tale, it is a gorgeous castle. Just being there made us feel special. The grounds are large and beautiful, there are grazing horses near by, a clean, well maintained swimming pool, sitting areas, balconies, and more.
The rooms were very pretty, all decorated sympathetically to the era of the Chateau. There were several sitting rooms, which could have been tourist attractions themselves.
The only negative was the internet connection. It was very slow especially in our room. It worked a bit better downstairs near the reception.
The host was very helpful. He was extremely knowledgable about the area, could answer all of our questions, helped with bookings, was always calm and spoke excellent English. His help was certainly a bonus to our stay.
I highly recommend this venue.
