We stayed here for 3 nights, ate in the restaurant for two of them. The staff are well trained in service, make check backs at the appropriate times and are happy to offer suggestions.
I felt that occasionally the portions were a little small, for example although the baked pear with shropshire blue cheese was excellent, where was the cheese? I felt for the price it was a little stingy. The lemon chicken with garlic was juicy and not over cooked, not easy to do, but the spinach, although cooked to perfection was a very small portion. The lamb tagine was well flavoured and the carrot, coconut & ginger soup was delicious. The ice cream dessert was huge, and the waitress was happy to provide two spoons. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, and the breakfasts are excellent. The menu is small, which is no bad thing as what they do, they do well. If they were to offer too many dishes it would be at the expense of quality. My husband also had a pizza which was cooked to perfection.
