Booked a room here because they are about the only Hotel on Pensacola Beach that will allow pets. The online pictures look much nicer than the place actually is. Pros: They accept pets. Bed was comfortable. Includes a mini fridge and microwave. High speed internet connection (however it's not wireless so remember to bring your DSL cable) I did not bring mine and I was lucky enough to borrow one from the front desk. The staff was very accommodating except for Floyd. If you happen to get him on the phone or if he's on duty at the time and you need help, would advise to wait till someone else is available as it seems his gift is not one of "customer service". Walking distance to the beach is not a problem as the hotel is located right across the street and there is a pathway directly to the emerald coast.
Cons: The room had no closet or area to hang clothes, not even wet ones (bathing suits, etc). There is no mirror or vanity in the bathroom. There is a wet bar with a sink and mirror in the main room by the entrance. So, after taking a shower, you'd have to come out of the "bathroom" and brush your teeth here. The only chair to sit in was one at the desk area. Other than that you have to sit on the bed. The pool was not inviting and seemed "dirty". There was no view from our room (#214) and parking in front of your room is limited to rooms in the rear and sides. If you have to park in the front, be careful not to get stuck in the sand as we did. An average stay and definitely not a resort feel of any kind!
If you like bike riding, Pensacola Beach has great bike trails!! Just make sure you have a patch kit. We picked up a screw along one of the paths due to all the construction in the area.
