This place has tons of potential- great location, great atmosphere, good food, and good management. Still working out a few kinks, but it is better every time we go. On our last visit our server, Nadine, took great care of us.

“Great venue, still working out kinks”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013 via mobile

Being local, we watched this place being built and were excited by the addition to the dining scene. It's a unique concept, and it appears they are responding to the feedback they're getting. The first time we were there, there was a slaw that was since taken off the menu, good move! The fish tacos are pretty acceptable. the andouille po' boy my husband liked. The place is entirely outdoors with canvas cover, but I understand that's changing too, with a tin roof in the works and plastic wind shields. Winters north winds would be a challenge without the shields as they do face north! and we did have a a rather brisk lunch there one day with the north wind. The fire pits with sofas are a great place for cocktails and watching the sunsets, but my friends were a little put off by small plastic cups of wine for $7. Ouch. The happy hour prices are $5 wells and $1 off beers, better. There are two lovely beaches that will be great this summer. A couple games; croquette and corn hole - entertaining! They have gas torches that light the night, also cool. The last time we had a large group there for drinks, it had rained during the day, and dried out in the evening. However, the pillows and cushions tossed around on the chairs did not dry out... Maybe bring them in out of the rain? Food is a bit pricey for the still being worked out quality issues, so we we're waiting till they get get worked out to add them to our usual lunch spots. Shaggys went through a similar rough start up and they are very good now. We have hope, love the concept. And the staff is all very excited about their restaurant. Oh, and love the jugs of water with different flavoring in them scattered around the restaurant. We want you to succeed!

“Great atmosphere....poor food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2013

I love the hospitality world and know how hard these professionals work. We wanted so bad to like this place however because so many reviews have helped us, I had to write. When we walked in the layout and style were great. Unfortunately the food and drinks were disappointing...we had a party of 12 and there were few who enjoyed their meal. If they can get some flavor in their entree's, step up the quality and presentation...better train the service staff on menu and drinks this place will excel. Dishes were bland, inconsistent, the margarita with jalepeno tequila was undrinkable by 3 of us and we love cocktails...it just wasn't great. Good luck to you we want you to succeed!

Thank you for your valuable response. We have taken genuine feedback like this and used it to better ourselves. We have since stepped up our food presentation and have made changes to our menus. We have also found a home for our jalapeno infused tequila....we make one of the best bloody Maria's and it is a hit. Please come back and see us soon. Hopefully we will not dissapoint this time around.

Great venue with an awesome, simple menu and good prices. Very uncharacteristic of a typical restaurant!

“Best French Fries”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2013 via mobile

This place is pretty cool. Unfortunately for us it was also cool in temperature when we ate there. Bring a jacket! We had an assortment of food including the NOLA fries which we shared as an appetizer. Loved them. Our daughter had the red fish, blue fish and chips and said they were the best meal she has had on the trip. I ate a few of her plain fries and they were excellent. You do eat from paper with plastic utensils but the food, views and surroundings of mis-matched chairs, sofas and fire pits along with the friendly service makes up. They also have a cute gift shop and the buildings are shipping containers. Unique.
