“The best service I have ever had in a hotel/motel”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

My family and I rented three rooms for five nights earlier this month (May). The first night my son ordered room service-shrimp scampi. Apparently he had developed an allergy to shell fish and came out of the shower with severe itching, hives and difficulty breathing. I called the front desk and Kiomy, the manager, called 911 immediately. Kiomy and her assistant came up immediately, brought towels and helped me emotionally. The EMT's arrived and my son improved, with oxygen and IV benedryl. Kiomy even offered to take me to the ER, then pick us up later that night. She also hand delivered our breakfast the next morning! The staff truly made that horrible episode more bearable, and the rest of our vacation there in at the Hampton Inn Pensacola was great. Everything was perfect, but I especially appreciated their quick response and great support during our crisis. I highly recommend this as a place to stay if your planning to go to northern Florida. Thanks again to all the staff for maintaining a friendly, clean and happy atmosphere for my family and me.

Room Tip: I really enjoyed our sea view. Maybe I'll post some of our pics later.

We stayed at the Hampton May 17-19 and had a wonderful time. The hotel and rooms are fairly simple, not overtly beachy, but bright and sunny, in keeping with the location. I do not sleep well when not at home, but the quiet room and the above average mattress did the trick this time. The hotel has two swimming pools behind it, with the beach just steps behind that. The complimentary breakfast, while not a full service restaurant, was very nice every morning. Coffee bar, juice bar, do it yourself waffle irons, assortment of pastries, bagels and muffins, fruit, oatmeal, in addition to a hot selection every day like scrambled eggs, potatoes, omelets, sausage, etc. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance and many more within a 5 minute drive. The staff was very friendly as well. The rates are a little steep but I am sure they are in keeping with the location, area, etc. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

We took a family vacation the week of May 13th and stayed at the Hampton Inn, Pensacola Beach. The hotel was very nice and accomodating to our family of four. The staff was very helpful and professional and went out of their way to make us comfortable while there. The beach was just steps away from the hotel and the pool area was clean and well-maintained. We took advantage of the complimentary breakfast each morning. There was a variety of food to choose from and it was of good quality. The staff even gave our little girl coloring books and crayons each morning at breakfast! The hotel was centrally located within walking distance of restaurants, souvenier shops and a convenience store. Plus, the miniature golf course was right next door to the hotel. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Pensacola Beach.

The hotel was wonderful and in a great location. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was delicious. Would stay here again in the future. Only thing is there is no Wal-mart or grocery store close so you have to go back across the bridge to get groceries and pay the toll every time you do so.

We are pleased you enjoyed the hotel and its surroundings. We do have a mini Wal Mart. Even though it is just on the other side of the bridge it's only 5 minutes away. Hope to see you again soon.

Stayed here for 7 days, for early vacation. The first 4 days were great, even though it rained on Saturday, well that's May in Florida. The weather was great the rest of the week. The heated pool was appreciated. It's right on the beach with about a 150 yard walk to ocean. We liked the balcony room for the views. All the Staff was super, Housekeeping, front dest, everyone is friendly, we met Kelly at the welcome center on I-10, she call ahead to make sure the room was ready. Trent answered our local questions (resident expert).. Breakfast is standard motel fare. Many places to eat within easy walking distance you won't need a car.except for visits to Grocery store (Walmart & Publix) which are across the Toll bridge
Cons: Maid hitting door while vacuuming in a.m. Crew replacing railings in rooms all around us drilling and hammering, resulted in rude awakening in the last 3 mornings. Maid threw away our souvenir glasses, otherwise we would have given 5 star rating.. WE WILL BE BACK.

Room Tip: They will fill your cooler with ice for you, if you ask at the front desk. They usually have some...

Stayed here for a week and enjoyed the place. The views from the Gulf View rooms are stunning! I've attached one in this review.

Pros:
- Gulf view rooms with roomy outside decks
- Beautiful beachfront, white sand, clear water
- Many good restaurants within walking distance or a short drive
- Free breakfast included
- Two pools and an outside tiki bar. Tiki bar had free oysters on Wed night.
- A/C unit worked well

Cons:
- Satellite TV had issues the whole time -- could not get many channels. Was told the problem was being addressed but it wasn't fixed during our stay.
- Breakfast is nothing special. Best part was the fresh fruit everyday. There are two hot choices each day (generally eggs and a meat or potato dish) but they weren't the most appetizing.
- Property could use some refurbishment. Place is showing wear and is not as clean as it could be. Elevators are slow and sound a little rough.
- Exercise room was quite small with only three cardio machines and weights, one of which was out of order. Fortunately this didn't seem to get a lot of use and was always open when we hit it.
- You need to decide what you are going to do regarding beach chairs. There is a separate vendor called Lazy Days which manages the chairs on the beach, although they can bill to your room. The cost is steep at $30/day (two sturdy lounge chairs w/ cushions), although you can get discounts by paying for multiple days up front. These do come with an umbrella and/or retractable sun shade. The other option is to buy your own chairs, which we looked into. There is a shop called Waves across the street which has some. You can probably find ones even cheaper at Walmart. In the end we went with Lazy Days, since we were flying out.
- No room safe, so think about bringing a lot of valuables. The lobby can hold items for you if you are worried. This area is very casual anyway so you won't find a lot of occasions to get dressed up with jewelry.
- Mini fridge in the room but nothing provided. You will need to get drinks/food elsewhere.
- While the beach is beautiful, with fine white sand and clear water, it is not a good beach for walking. The sand is very soft and sinks down when you step. The area close to the water is damp (so firmer) but is narrow and ramps down to the water (so not level).

Room Tip: Consider the Gulf View rooms

We decided to take a few days to break up a cross-country trip n wanted a beach vacation. Since we were leaving from south Texas this area seemed good. After researching hotels on the beach this seemed a good value for the price. It was. The staff was friendly n the place was clean. They give out beach n pool towels. There are chairs and umbrella to rent on the beach. We had a fourth floor private balcony room overlooking the gulf. Great view. Two pools. Steps to beach and restuarants n shops. Don't need car after u get there. Great value.
