The Pensacola Beach isn't great for long beach walks, so we came out to see the Fort, and returned to the National Seashore for longer hikes. Well-marked and easy trails.

If you want to see Florida at its very best ,you must go to the Gulf Islands National Seashore. The dollar fee to cross the bridge from Pensacola is the cost of a trip to paradise. You don't need to go off to a south sea island for white sand, crisp clear waves and peace away from the rest of the world. It is wonderful that no one has been allowed to build beyond Pensacola Beach. Driving at just 35mph allows you time to enjoy and there are great places to park on the shore to enjoy the beach.

The emerald coast really shines at this lovely collection of beaches. It's very peaceful- and a great walking beach. Don't miss it!

There is a reason this is called the "Emerald Coast." Go to the GINS and you will see why. Soooo beautiful and soooo peacefull. The color of the water on a sunny day will just knock your socks off. Check it out as soon as possible.

Found plenty of sand dollars and saw the bubbles from clams. Excellent for walking, a bit windy, but comfortable. Only one jellyfish, which was on the beach. Too chilly for swimming, but I shelled and got a tan
