“Possibly the most beautiful coastline in the country!”

This is hands down, by far, one of the best white sand beaches the US has to offer. Just imagine yourself as one of the original explorers of the Americas walking along the beach after landing. That is the kind of experience this beach will leave on you. It's absolutely untouched by commercialism, trash or any of the other rubbish you might see along the coastline of Florida. There can be traffic along the road, however, you can park at one of the parking lots and walk for hours. Every view is amazing, and the water is crystal clear on a good day. If you are anywhere near Pensacola or even Destin, this place is definitely worth the drive. So pack a lunch and spend an afternoon here, you won't be disappointed!

“Best drive I've seen in Florida so far!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2013

This area is absolutely beautiful. You can drive this way from Pensacola to Destin and the drive offers some of the best views ever. The beaches in this area are beautiful. They offer white sand as smooth as sugar, and clear water in aqua blue-green form. One of the best areas I have seen in Florida. The only beach that is supposed to compare to this one in the US outside of Hawaii is Siesta Key which I have not visited. You won't find many crowds in this area and will enjoy a nice day at the beach. They also offer an airshow the 2nd week of July that is a great view from this beach.

“One of the most beautiful places on Earth”

On busy days, the traffice can get bad b/c the island is narrow and the road is one lane each way. Small price to pay for such beauty.

We drove to both ends of the national seashore. Very scenic and there are some nice beaches. Its pretty with the sand blowing across the road, looks like snow almost.

“Beautiful scenery”

Our family loved driving the Seashore. My husband biked it each morning. Saw birds and an armadillo. Water was beautiful. A must visit!
