This is a little gem of a a place to stay. We will be back.
This apartment is located right next to Blackwater Marina, and waking up right next to the sights and sounds of the canal barges is a delight.
Within 15 paces you are at the water side, and you can walk under a small bridge to the tow path, and walk along side the canal right into Ellesmere.
If you like to fish, you can fish in the canal any time, and you can fish in the marina after 5pm. It;s like having your own little almost private fishing area.
The apartment is clean, tidy and well maintained.
My only gripe is that the WIFI is actually a hot spot you have to pay for, and the signal is diabolical and often non existent. Treat this as no WIFI at all. But believe me, everything else more than makes up for that little issue, and I am sure it's something they will get fixed soon.
We hired their day boat for a day, which I highly recommend. You get 25% off the hire price too if you are staying in the cottage. We had a 7 hour round trip up the canal, which was great fun.
Highly recommended, and great value for money. We'll be back.

I spent a lovely 3 nights here last week with 2 friends whilst visiting friends in Cheshire and Shropshire. This made an ideal base. The bungalow was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The beds were most comfortable. Loved the Over 60s £5.95 for 2 courses at the local Red Lion Inn. We hope to return next year and stay an extra night.
