Nestleton Waters Inn was truly a dream to work with. From the outset and throughout the planning process they were responsive, prompt, and accommodating.
The grounds are absolutely stunning and are always extremely well kept. Guests absolutely loved it – they were not expecting something so beautiful and big. I'm told it was totally worth the bus ride and overnight stay at the Holiday Inn Express Bowmanville.
The house is beautifully decorated, and each room has unique details and interesting pieces of artwork.
The entire team is professional and great to work with. From Claudia, the Event Co-ordinator, to Deborah, one of the owners, to the service staff on the day, everyone was fantastic.
They just got it all right. I cannot recall a single detail being different on the wedding day then we planned.
The A/V system – the microphones didn't crackle, and you could clearly hear the music.
The food was delicious – both at the Inn and on the night of the wedding. At the Inn we were given things like fresh baked cinnamon rolls and homemade chocolate mousse for breakfast. Yes please! For the wedding dinner we worked with Derek from Chantrelle's. Several guests told me it was the best wedding food they'd ever had.
It was great to be able to stay at the venue the night before. Our bridal party was from three different continents so it was a wonderful chance for everyone to get to know each other before the wedding. I highly recommend it if it's possible for the circumstances.
A few minor things that I would suggest for improvements:
The contract is 12 pages of mind-boggling text. I know contracts can be challenging to read at the best of times, but I would recommend NWI makes theirs more succinct and comprehensive.
We had to use the DJ that NWI supplies. While he was very nice and easy to work with, he didn’t quite follow our directions and began playing very generic pop music, exactly the kind we were trying to avoid. The Taylor Swift love ballad cleared the dance floor and it wasn't until I asked him to put on some 80ies songs did people return to dance again.
Despite having big gorgeous Jacuzzis in most rooms, bubble bath was not supplied!
These were very minor issues, however. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for somewhere unique, personal and beautiful to hold their wedding or special event. We could not have been happier with our day.
