“Best place to see animals graze”

Court of the Patriarchs
Reviewed June 26, 2014

It's a wide open field and animals come through to just graze. We saw the most deer here and they would just walk and eat along the roadway.

Another area in Zions National Park that is fabulous! We thoroughly loved the different scenery along the trail and the amazing topography.

I'm so glad I got off the bus. I took one of the trails and got closer to them. As is so common in Zion - unbelievable beauty!

Along with Mt Moroni (red) just in front of these three (white) peaks, these are impressive geological structures you can't miss as you drive along the scenic road. YOu can get off the shuttle and walk up a short path for unobstructed viewing.

Please take the time to stop and visit the Court of the Patriarchs. It is an easy uphill walk from the shuttle stop. The Patriarchs are three peaks named after Abraham, Jacob, and Issac from the Bible. They are high rock formations that are so majestic that they earn their names. Stand up on the bench at the viewpoint to get the best picture. There is a placard that lets you identify each peak.
