“Excellent Trail for Those Not So Athletic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2014

This trail is an easy hike up and down to the Emerald Pools. You can take your time. The views are worthwhile and it is a good morning hike. I would not recommend it for anyone with heart or lung problems. The description by the National Park Service is accurate.

“connects emerald pools trail to Grotto”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2014

trail is best taken as an alternative to repeating the path down from lwoer Emeralds Pool. Ends at the Grotto, form which one can either cross the bridge or head toward Angel's Island.

“Nice surprise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2014

I thought this trail would just be a connector type trail from the Grotto to the Emerald Pools, but this trail is nice on its own merit. We began at the Grotto where you can go to either Angel's Landing or to the Emerald Pools. This was a nice scenic stroll to the pools with lots of great views of the valley and Virgin river and lots of plant life along the way. I usually don't get very excited about flowers or plant life but some of the cactus and flowers along the way were quite beautiful. If you're doing the pools, start here at the Grotto stop, hike the one mile or so Kayenta, hit the pools and then end up back at the lodge. Easy walk, very scenic and the no back tracking.

“Best way to Emerald Pool”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 25, 2014 via mobile

This a lovely, relatively easy trail that goes along the river. You end up just below the middle pool and can ascend up to the middle and upper pools. This trail is a nice respite from all the crowds, which you will soon catch up with at the pools.

“Moderate hike”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2014

This was a good workout leading to the Emerald Pools and the Zion Lodge. You can start hiking this trail from the Grotto and it will either lead you to Angel's Landing or Emerald Pools, whichever direction you want to take. Definitely worth visiting.
