“Take your sunglasses off!”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

Make sure to remove your sunglasses before entering the tunnel. I had no idea that it was over a mile long and it was well lit. Bought the book on the tunnel as I was amazed that it was completed 83 years ago.

“Unbelievable”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

This tunnel was constructed in 1930. It is quite a marvel being 1.1 miles in length. It is rather dark as it doesn't have lights. Their are a few quick 'windows' along the way. During peak entrance times be prepared to wait for your direction to go.

“Mind Blowing!!”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

We drove from Bryce to Zion so descended down the tunnel to the Springdale.
The glimpse out the window half way through the tunnel was cool and then emerging into the valley was just spectacular. Something I will remember forever.
I was driving and the wife was freaking out as it is so hard to keep your eyes on the road and not the spectacular scenery.

“Gorgeous, but a little scary. O”
Reviewed August 14, 2013 via mobile

If you don't mind very high switchbacks with no guard rails with lots of traffic to get to the tunnel, then this is a beautiful and exciting experience.
