“Scenic historic tunnel”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

If you understand the magnitude of work it took to build this tunnel it gives you such a deeper appreciation of what they did and how beautiful it blends in with the surrounding area and gives you a connection to other parks. There are a couple of peek a boo overlooks as you drive through a very dark tunnel and then the vistas and views that you get going either West or East is just breathtaking. The switch back road leading up to the tunnel is stunning and an introduction to the wonderful cliffs and canyons you will see at Zion. Coming into Zion or leaving to go to Bryce of other parks this man made tunnel is a must see.

“Worth It!”
Reviewed September 6, 2012

I was debating if I would take this route and I am so glad I did! Breathtaking views around every corner and a very different landscape than Zion. Twisting and winding road keeps you on your toes all the time. There are plenty of pull-offs for pictures.

“This will inspire you to do more exploring”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

The drive from the main canyon takes you up a series of switchbacks and through a tunnel carved through the mountain. Upon exiting the tunnel you will enter yet another part of Zion N.P.. This is my favorite part of the park, feel to park at pullouts and go exploring. Know your limitations, there are no maintained trails and it's rugged country.

“" MUST DO "”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

Part of of the drive can be scary if you are afraid of heights. You get above most of the canyon, which is hard to do and gives views that only a camera can capture. Then you even come accross meadows lakes etc. There is even a buffalo herd, and we saw bighorn sheep.

“The coolest tunnel ever”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

This road and tunnel are truly breath taking. When you learn more about how they created this tunnel it is even more amazing. I have never driven through anything like it before.
