It is challenging the farther you go but the view is amazing. Plan on being wet and pack food because this will take most of the day if you plan on going up to wallstreet.

With the Narrows you can choose to do a short trail along a tarmacked path at the beginning, or you can continue along the trail when it gets 'rough' and see what most people go there to see. Sadly my asthma was playing up at the time, so I just did the small trail, and it was still absolutely breaktaking!

When we got to the section where the tarmac stops and you can stop or continue on along the river, look up and you'll just be in awe of the scenery around you. It's so beautiful, the river, the canyon, the trees, the nature. I recommend this to everyone, even if you can only do the short trail that we did rather than the full hike.

This is my favorite hike of all times. I advise you to wear a wet suit, sturdy water shoes, and to bring hiking poles. The park rents gear, too. I also had a dry sack for my non-waterproof equipment, which was in my daypack. Bring a headlamp, in case the trail takes longer than anticipated. Bring water and snacks and extra layers (fleece if possible, not cotton). This is a beautiful trail with stunning scenery.

Everyone loves The Narrows, and for good reason - it's fabulous! You take the shuttle to the last spot and hike for about 2 miles on a beautiful paved trail. There are no other bathrooms, so be sure you go at the beginning of the trail. At the end of the 2 miles, you cross and re-cross the Virgin River, and begin your awesome journey into The Narrows.

Bring your Tevas and a walking stick, 'cause you gonna need it. The rive 'narrows' and is filled with rocks, but the hike is amazing.

We went as far as is practical without the recommended gear... it is essential to prepare and be aware in the Narrows. Water was 46 degrees at depths of waist deep or higher very quickly.
