Had read reviews that Zion can be busy and crowded. I didnt think that mid March, middle of the week would be that bad. Oh my goodness. Went early in morning so we could make sure to get parking. The cars were already lined up - Security waved us pass and into the park. Shuttle system in place - easy to figure out. Drivers very friendly. The canyon has awesome views and is pretty spectacular (despite the crowds) Weeping Rock was open again - family thought this was one of the best stops. One of the spots a ranger had spotting scope to observe the Calif. condors. My daughter asked the ranger a couple of ques. He said come with me. Took her aside and opened up a tube with a condor feather. He let her hold it (it was something she really liked) We left via the scenic drive to the east. Had hoped to stop just beyond the tunnels and hike - no chance. The parking lot there has only like 6 spots and the cars were lined up along the side of the road for a long ways. Stopped at checkerboard mesa before leaving - covered in snow but still pretty cool. Cant imagine what the crowds are like in warmer weather. Busy place but glad we went when we did.

Speechless at Beaty of this park. Easy access into the park. 35.00 per vehicle for 7 days of entry. Free shuttle service in the park for all 9 stops. They come every 2-3 mins. Staff at the park is friendly and helpful.

Another magnificent national park with spectacular views of rock formations, streams, wildlife and more. Plenty of trails to hike as well. Got to see the whole park this visit, despite some rather nasty weather conditions and snow. On this visit, the NPS aggressively plowed the main roads so even though there was an access delay due to road storm closures, they did reopen within 24 hours so I got to see the whole park. Beware the water though. You can read about that on the park's website. Oh and stop by or stay at the lodge and grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. It's well worth the visit, as are all the National Parks although for different reasons. And if you get a park pass, it really saves you money should you plan to visit more than one park. I visited 4 on this adventure. Happy exploration!

Maybe the most beautiful park I have visited in the USA. The drive in was spectacular, and the scenery inside the canyons was other worldly. I will definitely come back to spend more days hiking and camping in the area.

When visiting Zion National Park we stayed in "The Zion House - The Landing", via Airbnb in La Verkin (host is called Jeremy).
Our experience was terrible. On our first night the bed broke and host said he would fix it the next day, which he didn't. He offered another place to which we said yes, yet he could never be contacted after. We slept on the floor the first night and when trying to contact him for the second he never responded. He agreed to offer us a full refund (for both nights plus any other additional fees) and said he had to go through Airbnb to get full amount as he couldn't do it by himself. This was a lie. When we handled the dispute via Airbnb they said the host had a right to change his mind (even if he had agreed to full refund), and host now did not want to offer full refund. While Airbnb did offer refund for one night, we still ended up paying for another night plus all additional fees like cleaning. This host was dishonest, did not offer a solution to the problem. Beware of Airbnb, you aren't really protected as they state.
