Maybe the most beautiful park I have visited in the USA. The drive in was spectacular, and the scenery inside the canyons was other worldly. I will definitely come back to spend more days hiking and camping in the area.

When visiting Zion National Park we stayed in "The Zion House - The Landing", via Airbnb in La Verkin (host is called Jeremy).
Our experience was terrible. On our first night the bed broke and host said he would fix it the next day, which he didn't. He offered another place to which we said yes, yet he could never be contacted after. We slept on the floor the first night and when trying to contact him for the second he never responded. He agreed to offer us a full refund (for both nights plus any other additional fees) and said he had to go through Airbnb to get full amount as he couldn't do it by himself. This was a lie. When we handled the dispute via Airbnb they said the host had a right to change his mind (even if he had agreed to full refund), and host now did not want to offer full refund. While Airbnb did offer refund for one night, we still ended up paying for another night plus all additional fees like cleaning. This host was dishonest, did not offer a solution to the problem. Beware of Airbnb, you aren't really protected as they state.
After going to Grand Canyon North Rim & Bryce Canyon National Parks, we went to to Zion National Park. We go to the park a little late ( 2 pm ), we couldn’t see some of the park unless you you took a tour bus & we didn’t want to do that because of the crowd!!!! If you get there early, you drive through the in your own car!! What we did see was amazing!!!
A must do Zion National Park! It is right there in front of you, huge towering rocks as you drive along the river and valley floor looking up. It is amazing drive.
Absolutely amazing. One of our favorite places on Earth. Clean and pristine park with great free shuttle service. Angels Landing and The Narrows hikes were fabulous. Angels Landing is available by lottery only but the Narrows is available to all. It is amazing to hike among the river and its tall walls towering over your head.
The beauty is unforgettable.
Zion and Bryce Canyon NP Winter Trip!
First time visiting with our 8 yo and 11yo-
Absolutely breathtaking and worth the 7 hr drive from LA.
We stayed at the brand new Bungalows at Zion- #5 Sundrop one bedroom with a loft and sofa sleeper with balcony. Highly recommend for a stay- ask for a bungalow not adjacent to the road if you like to sleep in or are a light sleeper.
Day 1- Weeping Rock and Riverside Trail were easy and gorgeous. There was snow and falling ice on both trails. Icicles we’re everywhere.
Riverside trail ends where the Narrows begins- can’t wait to come back in Fall to hike it.
Day 2- Bryce Canyon. Couldn’t find parking at Sunset Point so we parked at Inspiration Point and hiked along the breathtaking view of the Hoodoos in about 2 feet of snow. So memorable!! Bring snow and hiking gear
We hiked Two Bridges- definitely needed ice spikes for the shoes. People were sliding around everywhere in their tennis shoes. Wall Street was closed.
Found a hill to go sledding in Red Canyon outside Bryce.
Day-3 Canyon Overlook Trail was our favorite trail. It was warm but crowded. Good luck finding parking (we were there on president’s day weekend) please watch young kids on this trail. Ours did fine but it still gave me chills. Not for those that are afraid of heights.
Back to Zion Scenic loop and hiked the Emerald Middle Pool Hike. Steep at first, then muddy! About half a foot deep in mud in some places. Beautiful at the top where the pool is.
FYI- huge storm planned the next few days and I’m sure a lot of the roads and trails will be closed.
Planning to come back in the spring or fall!! Waited way too long to come.
