Amazing view of the Shenandoah Valley from our room. Rooms are very cute and very clean. Each of us received a little jar of raspberry jam as a welcome gift. Definitely recommend this cute little motel.

Skyland is what it is. Beautiful surroundings, beautiful views on 105 miles of senic drive. Operated by ARA, the dinining room has had it's ups and downs. The chef has created a new menu that is the best in recent memory. The food is hearty and basic, but with a flair. Not a five-star restaurant, but it shouldn't be one in this location. After a day outdoors in the fresh air this place is comfort food as it should be.

My family and I stayed at the lodge for 5 days in a room a 5 minute walk from the main lodge. The room was ok -- 2 queen beds, full bathroom, TV, coffee maker and a nice balcony. They provide dispensers with soap, shampoo and conditioner. The view was awesome! Just as good as any of the scenic overlooks on the Skyline Drive. There was no AC, but if we opened the front and back doors, a nice breeze blew thru the room. If you have small children, there is a nice playground in the common area. There are also many picnic tables. Camp style cooking is not discouraged. ARAMARK does a nice job of keeping the area and the rooms clean. For dining, at the main lodge there is a restaurant and a pub. The food was ok, but for the money, we got better food at a better price at the pub. Overall, it is a nice place for pseudo-roughing it. Accommodations are not going to knock your socks off but you will also not be disappointed.

Unfriendly waitress made for an unpleasant experience. Table of 4 next to us were treated well but as a couple we felt like we inconvenienced her by our presence

My husband and I took a one-hour guided trail ride departing from Skyland Stables in Shenandoah National Park, and we loved it! Although we only came for the day, we were greeted warmly upon our arrival, our reservations were processed smoothly, and we had a fantastic ride. Our trail guide, Matt, was knowledgeable about the area and an expert with the horses, and even sang to us as we rode! We're going back for the longer trip, and we'd definitely camp at Skyland.
