“Stunning Fall Hike!”
Reviewed June 13, 2014

This is a wonderful fall hike in King's Canyon National Park, California. Of course you can hike here other times of the years as well, but fall is really prime time!

The trail first leads you downhill, and you can stop at any time to get back uphill again. But don't rush back. Leave yourself 3-4 hours for this beautiful trail.

In fall, October and early November, dogwoods in this grove turn yellow and red, a nice contrast to the giant sequoias and darker conifers in the background. You can make a loop trail out of this by combining it with other trails, if you're young and in good shape. Look here for details:

Judge for yourself by looking at the photos!

The entry fee at the gates of Sequoia/King's Canyon covers all trails.
