“Just a short walk”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

It's a nice stop along the road. Just a short walk from the parking area. Everyone seems to stop here for a few minutes and grab a photo.

“Make the Stop...”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

We felt this was more of a stop than a hike; it was a short distance from the parking lot to the falls. It won't take long at all. We had the falls to ourselves on a September afternoon; it was nice to just sit and enjoy.

Certainly there are better waterfalls in the sierras, but since you are there and it is right off the road - just make the stop!

“Best Falls in the canyon”
Reviewed September 29, 2013

Mist falls better but that is an 8 mile round trip. these are close to the road. I did not like the tarmacked trail all the way. Ok for people with poor mobility but for me tarmac in a wild environment destroys the atmosphere and the environmental experience.

“Big falls”
Reviewed September 7, 2013 via mobile

It was a very short hike to the falls and even in September when there wasn't much water elsewhere there was still a good flow over these falls! You can walk down the rocks right to the water. Beautiful place to rest and cool down

“Beautiful waterfalls and surrounding pool”
Reviewed September 3, 2013 via mobile

So tempting to just jump in the water, but I knew the current wasn't safe. Beautiful scenery. Makes you wish your lungs could hold more air for the big sighs you take while there.
