“Short trail up to a beautiful view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

This trail is about 1/4 mile long and while it's up a small hill it's not a long one and it's not strenuous. You can see Hume lake down below. If you want to do this you turn in at Grant Grove Village and continue back past the vistitor's lodge/parking area of the village. The road goes up probably 2 miles and it's not a divided road and BE careful as you drive, but it's a quiet place worth checking out. Take the camera.

“Great view of Kings Canyon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

It is located in the north end of the park and accessible by a narrow two way road. You can hike there also, I believe it was less than a mile uphill. Although the road is narrow it is not like other roads with a steep drop into a valley below.

“Great View!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

On weekends, this road is closed at 5 PM and you have to take the shuttle which i think would be a pain and crowded. We timed it just right and got in right when it opened up to cars and got to the top, did the short walk and had a nice uncrowded vista.

“Easy hike”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013 via mobile

This nicely paved short hike leads to a wonderful view. The drive up to the point is beautiful and not real busy. The drive takes you past some of the rental cabins and the John Muir Lodge.

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

The view truly is panoramic and extends to the main high ridge of the Sierra Nevada. An easy uphill walk from the parking area.
