Owner description: A forest with ancient sequoia trees.

Pictures cannot capture the grandeur of this forest. The road has many turnouts, so feel free to stop and look. We really enjoyed how people would pull off and let others pass. The views command you to stop here and there. Absolutely breathtaking!

You must visit this Park if you can! We loved it. We spent 2 nights at Wuksaki Lodge and saw General Sherman, did the big trees trail and the Giant Forest. We had lots of fun in the snow, and we were lucky that it was a lovely sunny day. Natural at its best!

We were a little sceptical about visiting this National Park as some reviews were a little on the negative side. We absolutely loved it here, it is well organised as will most national parks in the USA and we saw more bears and other wildlife here than we did in Canada. We went for 3 nights and stayed in Three Rivers just outside the park.

The only downside was the road works on the mountain pass where we could sometimes be waiting up to 30 mins to get through the lights, if you timed it right though it wasnt an issue. Hopefully that should all be fixed and massive credit to the guys working on the project to make this place accessible for all.

Definately would recommend a visit here.

We sat in wonderment as our 3 year old granddaughter took in the beauty. A must for everyone to see, it is nature at its grandest.

March is the perfect time to go. It's the off season and there are a lot less tourist & cars. We are always able to walk through the trails that are open and enjoy the beautiful snow!! I've taken some amazing pictures here. My pup loved the snow as well. It's an amazing place to visit. If you want to get away to a place to relax you must visit the Giant Forest.
