We stopped here on the first night of our 3 week National Park tour. Very nice campground. We had one of the walk in tent sites. Very private, and they have a tent platform, which as we found out makes for nice sleeping when you are not sliding to the bottom of the tent. The bathroom was clean. I did not tour the whole campground, but it had lots of trees and the few other sites I saw looked nice.

We tent camped here and enjoyed it a lot. What a lovely place! You need to pay to enter Rocky Mountain National Park (unless you have a pass), and then it is an additional fee to camp. It is very inexpensive and worth it. The rangers were very kind and friendly. At the time, they allowed fires in the campsites, but you should check on fire restrictions before showing up. There are a few walk-in tent sites, and some are by the river. The walk-in sites are lovely, with the exception of walk-in site A. The drive-up sites are fine, too although fairly close together. We were able to bring our dog as long as he was leashed, but dogs are not allowed in the backcountry or on most trails, so it can be quite limiting if you are hoping to hike. Bring lots of warm clothes and enjoy the beauty and fresh air.
