“Stunning view”
Reviewed June 13, 2014

Stunning view along the road with nice walking trails on the top. Makes you literally short of breath, both from the altitude and the view.

Reviewed May 28, 2014 via mobile

Although the road is closed park at the entrance and walk back to the river. Its beautiful. Many visitors were walking up the side's of the river into the valley. Beautiful scenes to photograph.

“No Turning Back!”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

This road is one way so you cannot turn around. There are a few "small" places to pull off. This is a dirt road, with steep edges so you will want to go slow. If your afraid of heights this might not be the road for you. Happy Travels!

“one-way dirt road with amazing scenery”
Reviewed March 31, 2014

note post below saying this road is closed 2014 after flood damage.

sorry to hear it's closed, this is one of my most favorite drives in the US. take it slow and enjoy the amazing views. whoever is sitting on the left will be on the edge of the road with steep dropoff, fun if you dare to look down! we've been lucky and have always seen lots of elk in the top part. they get very close sometimes! when you get above treeline, pull over and park. take a hike up the alpine tundra - very scotland-like.

“Closed to vehicles in 2014 due to flood damage”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

RMNP officials announced that Old Fall River Road will not be open to vehicles in 2014 due to damage from the September 2013 flood. See the December 9, 2013 press release at the official website for Rocky Mountain National Park. It is unknown if the road will be open summer 2014 to hikers or cyclists. It is open to hikers this winter. Chasm Falls along Old Fall River Road is a popular hike or snowshoe in winter. Even though Endovalley Road is washed out near the Alluvial Fan, you can access Endovalley Road by foot and walk to Old Fall River Road this winter.
