We tried to eat dinner at the Sol Duc Resort restaurant without a reservation but had to get takeout since it would have been over an hour wait for our party of 8. The restaurant is quite small, with no other restaurants within 30 minutes (nearest is Lake Crescent Lodge), so dinner reservations are highly recommended in the summer. The hostess was quite gracious, and management let us order takeout from their menu, which we ate at an outside picnic table. We enjoyed good burgers and chicken sandwiches. I ordered the lentil cakes entrée, but it was sold out, so ate the seared tuna salad instead-it was OK, but the greens were not quite as fresh as I hoped. We would probably eat here again.
