“Amazing”

Worth the drive from Seattle for sure. Insanely beautiful rain or shine and so close to the ocean. Amongst beautiful mountains, so lush. You have to go!

“Leave the car and it gets interesting”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

This is the world's largest temperate rain forest, and friends who like it best are hikers. I get bored driving through it, and the rainy roads are really annoying with logging truck road spray. But get out of your vehicle and it's another world. We took a tour out of Lake Quinault Lodge, with a very knowledgable guide who made the area seem quite fascinating. We had snow, sun and rain and was all quite beautiful.

“Wonderful walk through the rain forest”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

We took the long, almost 4 miles hike starting just below Lake Quinault Lodge, climbing past several stunning waterfalls and amazing gorges, towering ancient trees, bogs, and so much more. We had a ten and fourteen year old with us, and they enjoyed it just as much as we did. There are some steep portions, but if you take your time, there are plenty of places to stop and rest along the way. It was beautiful, and worth the time and energy.

“OK!”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

There isn't much there - we did go see the large spruce tree and stayed at the Quinault Lodge. (Very nice). We at supper down the road about 500 feet - excellent salmon dinner.
