We drove around the lake on 101 heading for the sol duc falls, so we saw a lot of water. there are many pull outs to stop and enjoy the view. One kayak and a small fishing boat on Father's Day with a calm lake available. We stopped at each viewpoint and marveled at how clear the water was and how deep you could see bottom. The trees around the lake are beautiful as well, At the Ranger Station people were enjoying the water and having picnics or hiking to the falls. It was a beautiful day and the lake is long and deep. Reminds me a lot of some of the lakes in Alaska and the Yukon with the blue/aqua water.

The lake itself is beautiful - what a find! The lodge was built in 1916 and it still has that very classy, old-fashioned feel to it. You can almost picture people back then dancing to a big band in tuxes and silk dresses sipping champagne! Very nice covered patio to sit and sip coffee or have some food and look at the lake. We were only there for a couple of hours but will definitely come back to stay - kayaking possibly!

We had to drive around this lake to get to our hotel. It was the most beautiful drive. Could go back there for sure and spend more time.

When you first see the lake it just blows you away. The lake is surrounded by mountains and is a crystal clear blue.

Lake Crescent and the surrounding mountains are beautiful and so lovely to look at. The hotel is a well-maintained 100 year old building with a gourmet restaurant. The lake is clear, the air clean and cool. Part of the Olympic National Park system. There are some very nice hiking trails ranging from short and easy to longer and more challenging. Highway 101 runs past the park and the logging trucks going by can be noisy but at night the lodge was absolutely quiet and dark.
