Visited during stormy weather and saw the most breath taking waves. Sea Foam all over the beach - and just amazing beauty -good drive - restrooms for family use - but just beauty.

Hole-in-the-Wall is a natural sea arch carved by the dynamic waves of the Pacific Ocean and the wind. Check the tides and choose a time when there's low tide, the lower the better. We were there at -1 tide. Rialto Beach starts right at the parking lot. Climb over the beach logs and hike/walk along the beach heading north. It's an easy 2 miles with foaming surf, sea stacks and wildlife along the way. Wear footwear that can get wet and don't forget your camera. There are wonderful tide pools on the north side of the arch. The route continues further north, if you have the time, curiosity and the tide doesn't cut you off. If you miss the tide, you'll have to scramble over the top. There's a fairly large round-shaped sign that marks the location of a very steep path & rope for pulling yourself up.

We were there on a rainy day (as you can tell from the photos). The storm made the mist rising off the forest and the crashing waves all the more dramatic. So, don't let the weather stop you!

Be ready to enjoy nature and dead trees all over the beach! since you are already in the Forks' area. It is well worth to stop in this site and enjoy the ocean-forest-and mountains!

I've traveled to many of nature's beautiful places but Rialto Beach is my favorite. The roar of the ocean is peaceful it makes you forget all the noises of the city and civilization that I get sick of. During low tide the tide pools are home to many little inhabitants. Also about ~ 1 1/2 miles down the beach is a hole in the wall that a trip wouldn't be complete without visiting. I can't wait to go back someday.

I instantly became a big fan of Rialto Beach. Its not your average beach, the massive trees and small pebbles make this a one of a kind. Great beach to hike along for miles/days. If you have the time (I didn't) it would be worth camping on and checking the whole stretch out.
