My wife and I had one of the cabins at Sol Doc for three nights last July. We found it comfortable and nicely appointed with lodge-type furniture, a small fridge, and a nice little front porch where we could sit in the evenings. It was a lot bigger on the inside than it looked from the outside, and there was plenty of space between cabins to ensure privacy with lots of grassy space between and even more space to park near the cabin. We even saw deer wandering through the area. The price is no bargain but not outrageous either, and in a place where there is little alternative, the cabin worked out just fine. It was also near the trailheads to Sol Duc Falls and the Salmon Cascades. As for cleanliness, the cabin was immaculate and as well supplied with quality toiletries as any big city hotel is.
The hot springs themselves are within steps of the cabins. They are actually three round pools and a bigger swimming pool. We were there in high season, so the pools were quite crowded, but we found deck chairs and managed to squeeze into the pools, which are certainly relaxing. I did not care for the overpriced restaurant in the lodge, which I reviewed elsewhere and don't hold against the springs and cabins.More
