Lake Crescent Lodge

After visiting Lake Quinault Lodge the night before, we decided to stay at Lake Crescent Lodge instead of going on to Seattle. We stayed in a Marymere room. We were not disappointed. The beds were new, and the bathroom with it's unique charm was spotless. We read some people say the rooms are not clean. Our room was very clean. The view is unbelievable. The managers on duty both at night and the next morning were delightful and very knowledgeable. The food service at Lake Quinault was better, but the quality of food in both lodges is wonderful. I am actually thinking of breaking a 50 year tradition and doing the family vacation here this summer. That's alot to be said.

We stayed in the main lodge and shared the bathroom and showers with 5 other rooms on our floor. This ended up not being a problem. I never had to wait for the bathroom or the shower. The room was nicely decorated in a rustic style. The lobby is large with a fireplace and lots of areas for sitting and relaxing. We brought our own dinner and ate in the lobby area that has gorgeous views of the lake. The next night we ate in the restaurant which was pricey but delicious. The lake was beautiful and we even swam in it. What a treat! I highly recommend staying hear!

While the website describes the Storm King rooms as modern, its as modern as the 1980s, so it's pretty darn out of date. Our mattress was also pretty uncomfortable, we had spiders in the spare blanket, and the room fogged up severely every time we took a shower. My husband described it was trying to sleep in a steam room.

Ignoring the room though, Lake Crescent is beautiful, the restaurant is great here, and there are some nice hikes like Marymere Falls right outside your door.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Will come back again. We stayed in a Singer Cottage, saw deer, played games in the lodge, hiked to Marymere falls, drove up to Hurricane Ridge and visited local wineries! There is so much to do! What we didn't know was that it is a seasonal place and closes after October. Every trip is a learning experience!

Room Tip: We enjoyed the singer cottage - new beds and being refurbished while the resort is closed this winte...

will reward you with a pristine view of the Lake. We rented kayaks and honestly had the entire lake to the three of us. It was beyond words. The beauty, peacefulness and just the perfect day. The accomadations were also very nice and we enjoyed the trails around the Lodge. We would also highly recommend Kaaloch Lodge offering a wonderful lodge room with wood burning fireplace and bar for wine or hot chocolate. We stayed at all 4 lodges and if we had to do it over again would stay longer at Crescent and forego the hot springs since its close enough to jump over for the day. Quinalt Lodge offered a breathtaking view of the very rugged coast. Although we loved our room on the 2nd. floor of the lodge the cabins offer kitchen facilities which would have been more practical.

Room Tip: Try and get kitchen facilities as general stores can be far apart

I honestly don't want to let my fellow TripAdvisor travelers know how gorgeous this place is because I'm selfish enough to always want to be able to stay there with my family. We go at least twice a year with my son & daughter-in-law, our two grandkids, and now our Havanese puppy, Desi. It is such a serene and exquisitely gorgeous wonder of nature, coupled with a caring staff who make sure everything is perfect for your vacation. Little things such as recalling how much I love the fire in the lodge, so going over & getting it "roaring" and offering my grandchildren hot chocolate while enjoying the fireplace. With 6 of us even our dining room server, Jeff, managed to remember what we had and what we liked.

Room Tip: There are ten or so units very close to the lake with great views & bathtubs instead of just a s...

If you luv gorgeous scenery in a one of a kind setting you will not be disappointed....except for the housekeeping. It's my only gripe, they definitely need to hire more housekeeper but I overheard the manager saying they were trying to fix the problem.
