We hiked up deadhorse creek (beautiful wildflowers), up the skyline trail to Panorama point and then back around the pebble creek and down. We loved deadhorse and pebble creek trails! (panorama is overrated). A beautiful hike in the park.

My wife and I left our downtown Seattle hotel at 4:30 in the morning and arrived at the park entrance at 6:30. We started our hike going clockwise. There have been many discussions regarding which direction to hike, but for us clockwise is the best way to go as you have the stunning views of Mt Rainer in front of you. From the Visitor Center, it took us one hour to reach Panorama Point. We had the whole place to ourselves. No noise, no crowds, only the beauty and majesty of one of the most scenic spots in America. Go early to avoid the crowds and definitely hike clockwise!!

Even in July, we experienced snow and the trail was not visible at many places. Make sure you are prepared. That said, it is worth it as evident from the pictures.
We were told that August is the blooming time.

We spent three days in the park, two days at the Paradise Inn, the most crowded spot in the park. There are many trails starting from the parking lot of the visitor center which has an exhibit, a 20 minute movie and a restaurant. Also this is one of the few locations in the park with WiFi.

If you are staying at the Inn, you have reserved parking spot (will take some walking). Otherwise, finding parking can be hard unless you arrive early.
Easy trails could get crowded as well unless you start early or late.
Staying at the renovated, historic, costly inn (make reservations early) will help you enjoy the trails at your own pace.

We spent a few hours on the skyline trail. It was a gorgeous day, the wildflowers were in bloom and the trail was not crowded. What more can you ask for? Take your time, enjoys the views at every corner, or when you need a break from the stairs. This is a must see trail.
