Went by here while driving through in early November. The place was gorgeous, around 70 degrees and probably fewer than 10 people in the lake and campground area.

The lake was absolutely gorgeous and walking around it was a total dream.

If you want a real treat visit here in the late fall,,it's gorgeous!

Visited Lassen Volcanic National Park for my birthday this year...loved every minute of it. Manzanita Lake has a great "easy trail" around it that most anyone can do and the views are sometimes "breath taking"...bring water and a camera and you'll be good!

We stopped here to rent a canoe for an hour to paddle around the lake. It was not expensive and was a lot of fun.

You will experience a great view of the mountain reflected in the lake. Good price. You only need about an hour rental. Parking is easy.

Easy walk by the lake. It is worth doing, and you won't miss it. It is right by the north entrance of the park. You will see ducks, tall trees and enjoy the magnificent Mount Lassen. It was not windy, so we were able to capture the reflection of the mountain on the lake, just beautiful!

Mid-May road closures due to snow made it impossible for us to enter the park from the south and drive through the park to the north entrance and Lake Manzanita. Instead, we had to exit the south entrance and spend 1+ hours driving over some very remote roads to reach the north entrance, but it was well worth it. Right at the north entrance is Manzanita Lake which has a beautiful flat easy 2-mile trail around its perimeter with the peaks in the background providing magnificent lake reflections. U.S. national parks never fail to amaze. Even though our visit was limited due to snow, spending time at both the Sulphur Works and Manzanita Lake made the effort well worthwhile.

The trail that leads around Manzanita Lake is pretty flat and easily navigated by even the most novice hikers. It’s a really fun trail to snowshoe or cross country ski around in the winter. At 5890’ elevation, pace yourself as the altitude can be challenging, but the reward is great. The trail is clearly marked and skirts the Manzanita Lake shore most of the time.

This is at the end of the scenic drive through the park. We parked the. At and made the easy hike around the water. You can rent boats and kayaks and there were a lot of people fishing. Great place to hold hands, Hike and just talk. Beautiful setting.

This is a must see on your trip through Manzanita Lake. The wildlife is amazing! But don't miss the delicious, huge ice cream cones served at the snack bar. Yum!
The walk around the lake is lovely, just a nice pace for all ages. You can rent canoes if you'd like to take a spin around the calm water. Very enjoyable!

Beautiful Lake at the northern entrance to Lassen Volcanic Park. The water was so still it acted as a mirror with the beautiful sky and mountain in the background.
