I've come here since I was little and it's one of my very favorite spots. I always like to jump on the rocks and with my way up or down.

Running waters cascading down boulders makes for great pictures. Bring a picnic lunch. Go early if you want a barbecue grill. If you like to read, this is the place to set up chairs and finish that book you have been neglecting.

This is a nice place for a shady picnic lunch in the park. During peak times you may not find an available parking space and/or table. We came at 2:30 PM and drove all the way around the loop before finding a spot at the end.

There are some nice places to wade around in the river. Many spots are hard to access due to all of the large rocks, but you will find something if you look.

Also, be wary of your little ones after rainy days when the water volume is higher, the current can be strong in areas. Get in with them and join in the fun and help them stay safe at the same time!

Our family stops here every time we visit Gatlinburg. The water is beautiful and the picnic areas are wonderful. Each picnic spot has a parking spot, a table, and grill area. The kids love to explore the grounds and play in the water. Simply a lovely place to spend an afternoon.

We've ridden by this area for nearly 47 years without stopping; so glad we stopped this time. The picnic area has more individual sites & restroom opportunities than any other we've seen. A creek runs beside it and there is a moderate .75 mile hike right off the picnic area. The first half of the loop trail has a bit of a grade but we made it. You might think twice if you have knee or hip problems; however, I have a replaced hip and had no problem. There is minimal evidence of the recent fire but it wasn't disappointing.
