There are two tour options, a 60 minute version and a 90 minute version. I opted for the latter, with 11 other guests. (I believe there is also an option for handicapped and those who cannot fit through the tight areas) The max on any tour is 20 people, and reservations should be made in advance via phone if at all possible. There were 76 steps on my tour, hand rails in many areas, cement walking. You're allowed a flashlight, jacket, and handheld or around-your-neck camera. Nothing else. My tour guide was Mark, a wealth of cave and geological information. There are many, many examples of shields in this cave, a real and rare treat. Some kids may not be able to handle the 90 minute tour, although Mark worked to keep the kids on our tour very engaged and interested. Interesting, informative, and well worth the time. An excellent adventure!
