The restaurant seemed very busy, but we came at the tail end of the lunch rush and only waited about 10 minutes. With beautiful views of Jackson Lake and the Tetons, make sure you get a table on the patio outside or with a view indoors. Locals from Jackson told us to come and have the nachos and margaritas. We were hoping for the huckleberry margarita, but that day they offered blackberry and strawberry. The server told us they were made with house made fruit purees. We tried the blackberry and it was very good. Good blackberry flavor, but not too sweet like a lot of fruit flavored margaritas. Perfect with the nachos. The full order is very large, even if it is a meal for two people. Friendly staff.

We received a suggestion (from a park ranger no less) to stop here for picnic lunches and did so on 7/13 around 11 AM. The nice yet somewhat confused young man made at least 3 different trips to speak to the manager to find out what to do. He was told by the manager that there was a program for us and where to find the card with the details. He wrote up our order and ran our credit card for about $35 and took our order back to the manager who then informed him that they weren't able to prepare our order. It was 11AM and the place was virtually empty. It sounds like a manager with inadequate motivation...personal or otherwise.

We stopped here on our way back to Jackson Hole for lunch for the first time last month, & we were so happy we did. Their was a short wait, but nothing really inconvenient. The waitress took our order promptly after we had enough time to look over the menus. We enjoyed the art on the walls & it seemed to be a popular stop for those with families. We had our 5 month old with us, too, so that made us feel very comfortable. There is separate bar from the restaurant, which is a nice touch. I had the half sandwich & soup--opted for the BLT (delicious) & "upgraded" to their signature mountain chili. No regrets whatsoever. The chili was delicious & a must-try if you're a fan of chili! The server was quite busy, so we did have to wait a bit extra for refills. That would be the only "con" in this visit if you can call it that. Portions were generous--value was on point. The views are also wonderful, so it gives you something to enjoy while you wait. The menu items ranged from salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers, etc. We look forward to our next trip there--we're definitely stopping for lunch.

We found it difficult to find better than average food in the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks. I will admit we had a price point, which was to tend to go to one $ resturants.

For the most part doing that there is only average food to be found in both parks.

But there is always an exception. The Peaks is a one $ with extras. The food was good(we can vouch for the linguini and mango grilled chicken). The service is good. The view is AMAZING(mountains and a lake). The resturant itself has a nice western vibe.

We liked it so much we went twice.

Thoroughly enjoyed dinner here last week. We had driven by the Lodge here several times and thought the restaurant was a typical park grill but found that there are two restaurants at Signal Mountain Lodge, the expected grill and Peaks. We opted for the more elaborate menu at Peaks since it was our last night in the Park and were glad that we did. I had the trout cakes, which were excellent and the garlic soup, which was very rich & creamy. Others in the party had steak and baked trout, all of which were delicious.
Another bonus at Peaks is the beautiful view of the Tetons across the lake. We were eating just as the sun went down and took some gorgeous photos. Our waiter was friendly, but obviously still learning his job. It didn't deter from the meal though.
The separate bar here is also large & open & has a fireplace and was doing a bustling business the night we ate here. A large gift shop and separate clothing store ( which carries a large variety of Columbia clothing) are also located here.
I would definitely recommend a stop here and plan to eat here on my next visit to GTNP.
