Had the same server for breakfast and dinner and he wasnor more interested in working than the man in the moon. He was slow and not friendly.

We took a chance and stopped in for lunch without a reservation and we were able to get on the wait list with only a ten minute wait. We got there at 11:00am just as it was opening. We noticed it got much crowded later. Meal was superb, everything tasted fresh and lovely dining room and lobby for the Jenny Lake lodge, with a gift shop of course. The Tetons are lovely at this time of year, and this setting was just so inviting. Fire place going in the cozy lobby. Do not be put off by "reservations only" and fancy dress as advertised. Its certainly not a blue jeans place but they are casual yet elegant. After a big meal, there are many trails to hike to see the grounds and lake. A lovely afternoon place. Lunch prices are much more reasonable and just as nice.

As part of our lodging package, we had five breakfasts and five dinners in the dining room. The breakfast menu was the same daily, with many offerings, and you could also put together whatever you wanted from half-orders to sides.

The dinner menu changed daily, with two specials besides the set menu. Five courses preceded by an amuse bouche.
Most everything we ordered was excellent. However, there were a few entrees and a couple amuse bouches that were not wonderful. No one really cares about the latter as they are just one mouthful served on a soup spoon, but a few of the entrees and one of the starters (the escargots) were inedible and had to be sent back. The chef, we feel, overstepped the bounds of "experimentation."

Service was impeccable, always with a smile by very friendly and engaging mostly younger people. The ambiance of the room is romantic, dim lighting, linens, candlelight. Difficult to get a reservation if you aren't staying at the lodge. Gl;orious views of the Tetons, which loom over the property.

If not on the lodging package, breakfast is $25 pp and dinner is $85. Wine list is actually reasonable and a marvelous selection of glasses, half-bottles and extensive reds/whites/champagnes.

By all means - GO!

Breakfast is the deal of the century--order everything on the menu, if you like. There is so much to choose from; pancakes, eggs, waffles, fruit, pastries, etc. I especially loved the sauteed trout plate, and the crab cakes benedict. YUM. Wish I was there right now. Plus, its one price for everything. Enjoy

Simply perfect. Food is infamously fabulous and the service was awesome. This is a casual-elegant dining room but be sure to at least spruce up a bit. It is respectful of your dining partners and of yourself. This is fine dining and enjoy a wonderful night out. The food is wonderful and the menu changes nightly. Everything we had at our table was delicious and my steak was done to perfection.
