Owner description: This is by far one of our most popular activities and is great for the entire family. Each scenic cruise has a different park theme, allowing you to choose the best for your party. Our meal cruises allow you a unique dining opportunity in Grand Teton. After your meal, enjoy the mountain views with the solitude of Elk Island, or take a short hike to a beautiful overlook.

We took the breakfast cruise which was a great value compared to the regular scenic cruise and the food was fantastic. Fruit, yogurt, muffins, bagels and donuts served in a canoe. Then trout, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash brown type potatoes, and pancakes cooked and served fresh. We were some of the first in line so we had a full selection of every type of food, they may have run out of some types of fruit and donuts near the end. However there was still food of each kind left over and we were encouraged to go back for seconds. We had enough time to hike up to high point with a great view and down the to the other shore, then back. The total tour time after boat safety talk was about 2.5 hours with 1 hour of that being on the boat. At the time we went the breakfast cruise was only $8.50 more than the 1.5 hour scenic lake cruise and the food was definitely worth it! I think 1.5 hours straight of cruising might be a bit much, breaking it up with food and a little hike was perfect.

- there is a bathroom on the island as well as a sink and hand sanitizer near the buffet
- drink options included water, orange or cranberry juice, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate

Although we had to get up early for this cruise, it was a great way to enjoy the beauty of the Tetons and Jackson Lake while eating a nice breakfast.

Took the scenic lake cruise offered at Colter Bay Marina and can't say enough good things about it! The inside staff were all friendly and helpful. When we checked in, they mentioned there were no restrooms on the boat. Since my elderly mother has issues, we took advantage of being a little early and used the facilities before boarding. Once on board we were greeted by Capatain Les who went over all the safety information, then he started the engines and we were off. Before we even left he bay, First Mate Terry introduced himself and gave a brief summary of what we had to look forward to. Terry made us all feel very comfortable and welcome and his knowledge of the area, the mountains, the lake and the history were incredible. He answered every question with assurance and confidence. There was nice, fun banter between Terry and Captain Les which brought a laugh and lightened the mood. The views of the Tetons were stunning, but the trip was really made by the personalities of the crew and the information they provided. My mother and I were on a grand tour of National Parks in the West. We took several tours in various different parks and thanks to Terry and Les, this scenic cruise was the highlight of our trip!

We really enjoyed our breakfast cruise. We met at the marina early in the morning, and 2 boats went out. We were given a lesson on the nature of the surrounding area and the tour guide pointed out some glaciers. The scenery was beautiful and the lake was serene. It was mid June so very cold in the morning. The tour guide was a little cheesy but it's his job to keep the atmosphere light. He definitley was very knowledgable about the area. When we got to Elk Island we had coffee, tea and drinks, and a campfire was there to warm us up. Breakfast was delicious, all cooked outside. Eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, yogurt, pancakes, potatoes. Even tried the fresh trout and went back for seconds. We then had time to just relax in the area or walk to the top of the hill for a great view. We thought the cost was very reasonable for the experience. Take bug spray.

I just spent 10 days in yellowstone and the grand tetons. trust me - grand teton lodge company is the ugly, inferior step sister to yellowstone and the Xanterra company that has that concesion contract in yellowstone. you have to cancel things 72 HOURS in advance with grand teton - NOT so with yellowstone. even when you do cancel - they do not have records of it and you end up having to prove your case over and again. did this once for a room and once for a horse ride. AND for the same price things like the food are vastly different. the breakfast buffet at grand teton places - YUCK. no butter, one little pastry, runny "scrambled" "eggs". No coffee carafe at your table and precious little coffee served by the waiters. they did not even have cream for the coffee. the guy looked startled and had to go to the kitchen and retrieve a small container of milk for me. really - no creamer?????????????? in the rooms there is NO coffee maker (NOT the case in any yellowstone place we stayed at) - NO coditioner. just a soap dispenser and a shampoo dispenser and trust me - the quality of those is very low. go see the tetons, just stay in yellowstone. grand teton needs to improve a LOT. PSS - if you want to ride in grand teton, do it at Coulter Bay. The folks at the Jackson Lodge are VERY shrewish, with quite the opposite at the Colter Bay location.
