“Interesting Slice of History”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

If you are tired from hiking, this is a nice diversion - ferry was not running when we were there in early June, but it must be fascinating to see. General store has some original contents and local products on sale.

“Life in Wyoming in 1894........”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

A very nice self-guided trail that gives you a feel for the life of the homesteaders in the area. A visit to the small chapel is a must.

“Best around sunset”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

We visited Menor's several times, the ferry doesn't run very long and it's really just luck if you can catch it...but even without riding the ferry it's a neat spot with a lot to do...there is the old chapel there, the ferry, the general store, and then across the river there are stores and restaurants.

We got some great sunset pics and saw 2 bull moose here. We worked in the Teton's and included this spot on the must-see list for our families when they visited. This spot was good too for my elderly grandfather and the ferry operator was great at accommodating him.

There are fresh-baked cookies at the general store, but they were always gone when we got there.

“a short historic hike but not that much to it”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

just a short trail to where the ferry used to be, not much considering all the spectacular hikes in the park

“Interesting and fun look back into history”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

After a short walk from the parking lot we toured the General Store and grounds. Interesting and, at least for me, always amazing the small amount of space that people lived in years ago. We were lucky that the ferry was docking on our side of the river and so got to take the ride across. The Park Ranger was friendly with lots of stories about the ferry. The "how it got unattached a while back" was especially funny (in a not so funny way). They have since beefed up the security features on the ferry so there won't be any more incidents.

We didn't hike the trail so I can't comment on that but the store, ferry and grounds are worth a short visit.
