The views from the peak of Signal Mountain are beautiful, but the access road - while paved - is too narrow, long and twisted to venture up unless you are taking an extended visit to the region.
Worse, even though the sign at the base of the road states campers and trailers are not permitted, some people get it in their minds to drive their "little" RVs all the way up, creating roadblocks and hazards for those in cars.
Overall, the drive and RV roadblocks added an extra hour to our visit that could have been better spent elsewhere in the park or at Yellowstone.
