Felt somewhat isolated without WiFi and Cable. All other amenities in the area are great! Lake was extremely low and with no useable launch ramps. Great hiking. We camped in a 35' fifth wheel. Would stay again.

We found Colter Bay Village on Jackson Lake to be somewhat out of the way with few amenities nearby. We had a comfortable albeit rustic, two-bedroom cabin that was relatively clean, comfortable and quiet, though parking was somewhat tight. The units could use some updating but the price was appropriate for the area.
A visitor's center and two convenience stores serving coffee and one with a gas station were available, along with showers and a laundrette for campers. The cafeteria was closed so we had to eat at the restaurant which was grossly overpriced for the quality of the food and drink served. The steak fries were the best part of my meal. Having no other alternative, I believe this was a bit of price gouging, unusual for a place that receives a National Parks' imprimatur.
If we returned to Grand Teton, we would choose a place at Signal Point which is a much better location at a comparable cost.

Room Tip: Some cabins are located up a slight incline. Those with difficulty walking might want to question ca...

We really like the cabins and atmosphere at Colter Bay. This was our third visit in as many years. The cabins are quite clean and spacious and the surroundings restful. The only negative about the room is the phone booth sized shower in the bathroom but once you get used to it, it's not really an issue. Staff is helpful, courteous and friendly. Restaurants and services are excellent.

The only disappointment is that the Lake (Jackson) and the marina have disappeared!

It seems that the recent drought in combination with increased agricultural demand has forced the Park to drain the Lake/reservoir to the point that there is no longer any water in Colter Bay. The lake is still there but much smaller in size than is usual. Management told us that this has happened in the past and after one or two years of significant snowpack the lake bounces right back to it's familiar level and the marina reopens.

Aside from this surprising discovery, the village is still an excellent destination.

When we called for reservations, we asked for a secluded level campsite with a view. Robert at reservations said it wouldn't be a problem because the campground was not full and there were lots of available sites. I called back and also emailed to confirm. When we arrived, we were assigned a site across from the toilet and garbage cans! We asked the very nice woman at check-in if we could have the site across from us which was open. She said the only person who could switch us-Penny- wouldn't be back for 4 days! The nice woman working for Penny was not empowered to make the switch even though she seemed fully capable. She also told us that Robert did not make any notes on our reservation. I later called the reservation center, and had the person look up our reservation and they were able to read Robert's notes with the request above. Penny works for Molly who might be the Asst GM. I called Molly she said she really wasn't very good at using the system, and we would have to wait until Penny returned. She also said that everyone in the park had made their reservations prior to when we did and they get priority- clearly not what Robert said by phone and reconfirmed. We watched campers come and go. Most were here for an overnight in very nice sites, while we stayed and paid for 9 nights at $60/ night. All that being said, we weren't at our site during the day very much!!! So it worked out fine. My point is be aware that the RV Park doesn't guarantee sites and verbal reassurances can't be trusted, if site location is important to you. The grocery store was very convenient. The laundry was nice. WiFi is ONLY available at the laundry not throughout the campground. Also I called about the water level and was told it was low. Well it was actually a dry bed! Again didn't matter except we would have liked to take pictures with the water in front of the Tetons here and do a dinner cruise. We found plenty of other things to do. We would camp here again but would not have high expectations for the actual campsite.

Good location in the Teton Park. Very large cabin in a nice wooded and peaceful area. The cabin offers 2 good beds and a small bathroom.

The cabin is quite clean, but good to know: there are a lot of flying insects in the room.

Had gotten this cabin as a last minute deal for a little less but I would not have wanted to pay full price as the discounted price was high. The room was clean, towels nice, two bedrooms with twin beds in one room and a double in the other. Heater worked well for cold evening and morning we were there. Cabin sat down hill needed to carry our bags inside and it was dark, bring a flash light if you come in late. There were also extra blankets. Soap and shampoo dispensers rather than wrapped soap or individual small bottles. Nothing fancy, its just a cabin with a few extras like lights, beds, heat and curtains. It was fun for a night to do without a TV, and so forth. But forget and internet for the night didn't have cell signal to generate a hot spot even. No real complaints though, just information for others here. It was perfect to sleep over and be at Oxbow Bend for sunrise! They also had a laundry near by so we took advantage of that and caught up using their coin machines. Overall it worked out fine but was the highest price room we stayed in on our 5300 mile road trip.

We stayed several nights in one of the log cabins on this property.
Each cabin has a particular history and we enjoyed reading about some of the background of ours.
It was clean, spacious, quiet and the location within the Grand Teton National Park was good.
No coffee in the room was an inconvenience but a day or two before we arrived coffee was offered at the main office.
The extreme low level of the lake gave the place a rather strange feel so we spent most of our time in the south sections of the park.
