This was a long anticipated trip as we booked a year in advance to secure a rim cabin with a view. These are not cheap but we were only yards from the rim.

There is currently major construction work going on all around Bright Angel and the Village, but it didn't really interfere with our stay too much, except that work on a cabin next to ours started at about 7.30 am every day which was a bit annoying.

We had booked for three people, and were surprised to find only a double bed. We had to phone the desk and get them to bring a folding bed for our son, and pay extra for this! The bed was quite uncomfortable as he is 6' 2".

Also this cabin was not equipped with a kitchen as on our previous stay but it did have a small fridge to keep drinks cool. All in all, the cabin was not very well equipped, and quite expensive.

We ate in Bright Angel Lodge which has a good restaurant - good staff in the evening, dreadful staff in the morning!

The staff at reception were very nice and helpful and seemed to know the answer to all our questions.

It was a great stay, but we would certainly like a better equipped cabin next time.

Room tip: Partial rim view meant a GREAT view.

Loved this place! We were lucky to book a same-day room for a bargain rate of $140. It was nothing fancy, but a small little cabin with a bathroom and queen bed. The beauty is that you have parking, and are about 30 feet from the canyon edge. Makes it very easy to go for hikes and catch a sunrise!

Lucked out and was able to snag a cabin for 2 nights in the Grand Canyon. This was my first trip to the GC and had been trying for months to get a spot in the village. I kept checking every couple of nights and about 1 1/2 weeks prior to trip, was able to get a cabin. (assuming someone had a late cancellation - so don't give up trying). The cabins are within steps of the Grand Canyon rim and the Bright Angel trailhead. What a bonus to step out of your room in the morning and catch the sunrise over the canyon.
Cabin was nicely updated and clean. We opted out of daily housekeeping, which was a option at check in. Nice option to help save natural resources / water.
Room had a small fridge which was a bonus and a TV. Note that this is not a 4 star hotel - but your at the Grand Canyon for the views, trails, and experience. And this location tops them all.

Can't wait for my next trip back.

Room tip: Location is the best.

We loved the location as we were hiking down to Phantom Ranch the next day via Bright Angel trail. Had the adjoining room with bath in between the room which worked great for us and our son. The clawfoot tub was charming and the bed so comfortable! Had a small fridge but wished there had been a coffee maker.

We just so happened to get a room here for our last night in the Grand Canyon it was more modern & the beds were very comfortable. We arrived at the room late due to sightseeing, opened the window and Elk were outside eating the grass. We were on the 2nd floor so we slept with the window open it was amazing. The best part was we had a view of the Grand Canyon when we woke up the next morning. I poured a cup of coffee and watched the sunrise. Truly God's beauty.

Room tip: 2nd Floor has a view of the Grand Canyon
