We ate one night there for dinner, and my husband liked it so much that we went back a second evening. The food is imaginatively prepared, and our four different entrees were all tasty. The portions are large. Some of them can be prepared half size; just ask the server. Although there are no reservations, once we walked right in, and the second time there was only a short wait of about 20minutes. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are higher than comparable eateries in some other places, but you can't beat the location right on the south rim. At Bright Angel lodge and much less formal than the El Tovar dining room. You can come in casual clothes. The dining room is one large open room with tables fairly close together. Large windows face the rim. Noise level is somewhat high, but atmosphere is cheerful.
