Even if you have just couple of hours to spend in the park, you can walk a section of the rim and enjoy the view! Amazingly beautiful!

After seeing pictures my whole life I realize that none of them do it justice, you just have to see it for yourself. The canyon just stretches out before you and doesn't end, when you look across you don't realize it's 11 or 12 miles your looking. You also can't tell how deep it is, it's very deceiving. Everywhere we looked it was beautiful! I really can't believe the way parents with small children let their children run up to the edge ahead of them, it made me nervous many times and I had to look away, also many times adults got very close also, I don't think people realize the danger of what could happen with one wrong step, it's wise to be cautious and stay aware of your surroundings, other than that I just loved it and never got tired of the views

Its a paved loop and a very easy walk. There are many spots you can stop and take pictures, rest, eat a picnic lunch. It was Labor Day when we went and it was not very crowded which we couldn't believe. Do bring water, hat and glasses for your walk.

We walked down the trail and passed through some amazing arches. We only walked down about 3/4 of a mile, due to time. The way down is fairly easy, but it was 37 degrees and I was sweating on the way up.

a bike is a great way to see this as you can cycle beautiful paths right on the edge and allows you to see so much more. hermits rest has a little shop / cafe at the end as well. lots of beautiful views, great to get away from teh main crowds too. if cycling isn't your thing there is a free shuttle that runs all along it too
