“Not to be missed”

We took this drive and stopped at all the spots and did mini hikes and took photos. At Cape Royal we took a longer hike. Definitely a great way to view the canyon. Pack a lunch and find a spot to relax and enjoy a meal with unparalleled views. Awesome!

“good views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

a fun drive with many stop off for good views or short hikes. It takes about an hour minimum from the main lodge to just do the views and drive..

“An amazing drive.”

Be sure to walk the Roosevelt trail and the Cape Royal trail. Both are short and amazing. The drive has several over looks and longer trails also.

“Twisty Turny”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2013

This drive takes you to various lookouts and trailheads along the north rim. It is a very winding road but the scenery is gorgeous. At the end is cape royal lookout where you can see both side of the canyon. great for sunsets.

“Scenic route!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

It's only 13 miles from the main road but plan on a half hour to get to Cape Royal (at least). There are many scenic overlooks along this drive so plan some extra time.
