The Grand Canyon is easy to see from several points which we did only from the south rim, where we entered. I guess I have seen so many photos of it in my lifetime, that nothing surprised me. The vastness of it is so hard to comprehend when you're there unless you hike or go to more than one side of the canyon.
The thing I was disappointed in was that the South Rim Visitor's Center was closed...in September. Big surprise and it would have been nice to see the educational information that is often in the National Park's Visitor's Centers.
I'm glad I saw the GC, and there are many areas to stop with large parking lots including restrooms, and a walk to each overlook for viewing.
We were on a road trip through several states and of course included the Grand Canyon, Bryce, and Zion National Parks as well as the surrounding areas. See it we did! Throughout these areas there is also so much to see from the road driving through this several state area.
I found Zion to be the most stunning of all. But the Grand Canyon is just one of those you have to include. I'm not even including any photos of GC, because we've all seen them a thousand times without being there in person.
