“Amazing, Breath-taking, Majestic..what more can I say?”

We took the one day tour with Grayline (Airbridge Tours). Do not let all the negative reviews scare you. As another reviewer mentioned, people will remember to leave a review about a bad experience as oppose to those who had a great time. We started the day by gathering at tour company's main facility. There was a brief overview of the day ahead and options given for anyone who wanted to add on to their tour. It was a well given overview and no pressure at all to upgrade. Our driver Dupree was very good at keeping everyone on schedule at all the different stops. There is a brief stop @ McDonalds in the morning and in the evening on the way back. The repetitive McDonalds stops would be one thing we didn't care for. There is a brief stop at the Hoover Dam. A pre-recorded tour guide is played through out the bus ride. The recording is very informative and slightly humorous in a good way. Before arriving at the canyon we stopped at the National Geographic Center for the provided lunch. The food options were surprisingly generous. And then...the Grand Canyon! I can't even put into words how amazing this experience was. There are very few things in life that have left me speechless and this is one of them. So tranquil, so peaceful. We must have went on a good day because there were very few tourists. We could have just sat there all day soaking it all in. Pictures do not do this place justice. Our plan is to return one day and stay at the El Tovar Lodge which overlooks the canyon.
Back on the bus to Las Vegas. It is a long ride and at this part of the day the recording, although appreciated, disrupts any sleep you may want to get on the way back. The only other thing we didn't care for was the recording mentioning twice on the way back about customary gratuity being $10-15 per person. Our driver Dupree did an excellent job but $10-15 per person in our opinion is a bit steep. On our tour that would have been an extra $500-750 in his pocket...maybe I'm in the wrong line of work :) Seriously though, do this tour, you won't be disappointed.

We spent 3 days at Bright Angel lodge on the south rim and the view is spectacular from every overlook. Best services of any of the major parks we have visited. Very well maintained with excellent hiking and biking trails. Makes you proud to be American!

“Majesty at its best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2014

The Grand Canyon should be on everyone's go to list. I felt a sense of wonder and gratitude for being given the opportunity to see this wonderful site. We were able to visit the South Rim (north rim is closed during the winter season) and I was not disappointed. I will go again to visit the North Rim one day but for now, I am very content with what I saw there.

There is a $25 per car fee to get in the park. Worth every penny and more.

This place doesn't need any reviews. It's like the gods' playground on Earth. It's wordless, breathtaking, stunning, a wonder, unbelievable beautiful. It's the kind of place that bring tears to your eyes and makes you take a deep beath and think: How can I be so lucky to be here? Can wait to visit again and hike all the way to the Colorado river. It's on my bucket list!

I've visited during the winter. It was super duper cold. Dress up warmly. At lower temperatures the sun burns your skin though. Don't forget the sunscreen!

“Fun of all!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2014 via mobile

We started our trip early and saw tons of wildlife. We had a great time working in the Je Ranger Program books, and discovering new things! We used this as our history, geography and science lesson for our homeschool.

This is a must for anyone!
