“Grand Doesn't Describe It!”

The Canyon itself is wondrous and awe inspiring. The facilities along the south rim are great for the most part depending on your reference point. 4* it is not but is more than adequate for those interested in the canyon, it's history and geology. Food in various venues is adequate and the lodging is above average but the National Park Service trails and walks along with the visitor centers are very informative and supportive of enjoying this great natural resource.

“It Doesn't Get Much Better Than This”
Reviewed November 15, 2013

As a native Arizonan, it is embarrassing to admit to having been to the Grand Canyon only a handful of times in my life and then only catching the usual tourist points. This time was honestly different. We took my parents up this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our time there, the views, the people, and the weather. It was warmer than usual for November and we finally did a bit more exploring in addition to a tour. I saw parts of the canyon I had never seen before and was reminded again by the grandeur and the vastness that in the grander scheme of life, our time here pales by comparison to what nature can and has done. It really puts things into perspective at how small our day to day woes and problems are when you stand at the edge of the canyon and look out at time measured in millions of years, not tens of generations. A worthwhile trip that is well worth the time and effort to see. Just take your time while there and sit and watch and listen and reflect on what you are seeing unfold in front of you. You won't be disappointed.

“Love the view”
Reviewed November 15, 2013

I had the best time at the canyon looking at the spectacular view. The south rim offers amazing pictures. Just remember that if traveling in the fall/winter (November) it is the dessert and it drops to the teens at night so bring a coat but during the day it does warm up pretty nicely. Take some time and just walk around, you will enjoy it.

Had a great time at the Grand Canyon. We toured the areas that were limited to buses only. Went to all the vistas on the south rim. Absolutely Beautiful. Would love to go back sometime and visit the North Rim.

“Made us dizzy!”
Reviewed November 14, 2013

We were so happy to finally go see the Grand Canyon, but I think we should have done more research before we got there. We drove in and we're a little confused as to where to go after parking. The visitor center was helpful in planning our day, and the buses were convenient. The moment we got to the mather point, my husband was terrified, and I went to look down and began to feel dizzy. It went away after about 20 min. and still made for a great time. The video in the visitor center is really educational and makes for a great 30 min. break. I don't think that we will be back, but we did have a great time and at least we can say that we saw it!
