“Spectacular!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

My first visit to the Grand Canyon at age 60. The view along the south rim is truly awesome. We drove in from the east, which I would recommend vs. from the south. So much to see along this stretch. Take the shuttle bus to get to various outlooks and hiking spots. Very efficient and free.
Highly recommend a visit to the south rim for anyone who loves nature and has never seen the Grand Canyon.

“Sectacular Views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

WOW! the views are spectacular and change with every step you take. Make sure you pack a camera and walking shoes. I had a little trouble breathing, you are so high and the air is so thin. But well worth the trip. We stayed at one of the lodges in the park and it was so convenient. The free shuttle stopped right outside the door. The weather was perfect and dropped to about 40 at night (also perfect). Everyone should experience it at least once in their lifetime.

“Jaw-dropping!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2012

We've been here for two days and kept being amazed at every view.
Get up early, watch the sunrise (it's worth the struggle of waking up at 5 or 6am!!), bring your breakfast to one of the hikes or viewpoints and don't forget your (preferably wide angle) camera!
Then walk around, do some hike(s), take the shuttles, ... and go back to your favourite viewpoint to enjoy the sunset.
Also, if you can go with clear skies and full moon, it's even worth it to do a viewpoint at night!

“Breathtaking views!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2012

Gorgeous views. My only heads-up is that it gets really cold up there. During the sunset, it was in the 50's but with strong wind chill, it felt like 40's. And during the morning, it was close to 30's! Really cold. Bring lots of jackets.
