“If you like to hike”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2013

If you like to hike and are in pretty good physical condition, short day hikes into the inner canyon can be a great way to learn more about the canyon. The beauty and majesty are felt more if you get down into the canyon so you can really appreciate it.

“A must see!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2013

We went on a river rafting trip for 7 days with Western River Expeditions and can only say: DO IT! Go see the Canyon from above and from below! There is nothing like! The experience is nothing like anything else you can do! You see things you would never see from above! Great walks, flora and fauna, fantastically colored rivers, great food and new friends!

“Not for the inexperienced and unprepared but wonderful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2012

solitude and spectacular desert scenery; well established routes with current information from NPS Rangers and some patrols make this a (relatively) safe and extraordinary hiking experience. Am a repeat visitor and hope to continue - never get tired of the play between landscape and light. Time your visit to avoid brutally hot conditions if you can and pay attention to water and electrolyte requirements.

“Inside the Canyon”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2012

This gives you a whole different perspective on the Grand Canyon. I've hiked down to Indian Gardens, and I've rafted the Colorado River through the Canyon. Both, trips of a lifetime! But never take the Canyon for granted! Plan your trip well, & take every safety precaution imaginable.

“Best way to experience the Canyon - camp”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012

Having been fortunate to obtain overnight camping permits, we spent 2 nights at the Bright Angel Campground. It really is the most incredible experience and offers something different from viewing from the Rim. You get a real sense of how truly special the Grand Canyon is. If you can carry a backpack and get the permit, this is a real must.
